This past week end I went on a great backpacking trip trying to get to the summit of Mt. Rogers in Virginia.  We didn't make it to our goal and are all the more happier for it.  On saturday we started out with cooking breakfast at sunrise packing up camp to begin up the trail, this was the toughest leg cause we went up 1,000ft of elevation in just under three miles.  It took us 2 1/2hrs. and that is an amazing pace but it took a heavy toll on a few people in our group, so much so that it limited the hiking for the rest of the day.  After that we hiked another mile and then camped cuase of the pain one of our group members was in.  This put us about 2 1/2 miles north of Mt. Rogers our goal, so a few of our group decided to try to hike as far as we could in the few hours we had left and we made it another 1 1/2 mile or so before heading back to camp.  The whole day saturday we spent hiking in a CLOUD!! yes really it was a cloud, we were up about 5,000ft so the entire moutian top was in a cloud.  This limited visability to about 30ft in any direction, and what a blessing it was.  Do you realize how beatiful a snow covered bush can be when shaped by the winds? or the way the trees look when ladened with snow? If not for the very short visability I know these small sites of beauty would of been over looked.  On our short hike we took after making camp we saw some of the most breath taking landscapes ever. This hike like most of Saturday was spent in the cloud, but when we got to our farthest point from camp on top of this ridge the clouds broke for a few mins.  IT WAS AMAZING!!! I can't describe to you the beaty of the wintering landscape (there was about 1-2ft of snow on the mt.) when all of a sudden you could see it.  Our group was crowded onto this rock just to take in the scenery of the bluffs dusted with snow above us and the 30 mile view of the valley below.  But that site was unfortunetly short lived seeing as the cloud cover returned.  Later that evening though a little while before sunset the clouds broke for good giving us our full scope of visability back.  On Sunday while hiking back out we got the chance to see some of the wild ponies that live up in the moutians.  They were beatiful, absolutly stunning with brown shagging coats and long blonde tails and manes.  It was just an amazing week end that inspired and pushed me, it made me think more so than I ever have about myself int he wilderness.  I looked upon moutian range after moutian range marching into the distance.  I saw the sun sink slowly behind a stately moutian face.  I looked down upon a little farm nestled in a valley about 20-30 miles away.  I saw ice formations growing sideways on the bushes caused by the wind.  Look at serene arches of the limbs laddened with snow over our pathes.  Looking at the sculped flowing sea of snow driven by the wind.  I've seen some amazing views in my life and these are forever locked away with some of my other best outdoor memories.  I cannot believe that people could look upon hills like that and not see the beauty of God in His creation.  It the type of display that brings stillness to your heart and mind.  But inspires such awe of the splendor of creation you can't help but feel.  It is so very humbling to witness the great works of the Creator's Hand, who am I to see such glory and splendor? And knowing that the Creator died for me makes me appreciate it all the more.  Romans 1:20 "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."

WELL TONIGHT WAS VERY DISAPOINTING!!!! After driving all the way to Cleveland for a concert we found out that the vocalist for The Darkness had pop a vocal cord or something during the sound check! SO that means we drove the hour and a half back to Malone after no concert, but they are rescheduling it, we will know the date tomorrow and if they even make it a date that I can not go I'll be very angry....oh well.  I finally figured out what is wrong with the Intermural basketball schedule and now have been making my games, I'm the leading rebounder for my team but I can't score any points so....I never claimed to be a basketball player, I wrestled.  Well other than the big disapointment with the concert life has been alright, school is going but I'm getting a lil sick of all the papers I have to write, oh well that's college for you.  I'm excited about my backpacking trip this week end, we will be giong to Mt. Rogers, Va. it should be very sweet and it will be nice to get away for the week end....really away from everything....just out in a chance to unwind and hike myself to exhaustion.  Well that's all for now, it's time to close this with a witty and remarkable quote:                                    "Better to live on a corner of the roof
than share a house with a quarrelsome wife" Proverbs 25:24

Well it's that time of the year that we Malone College students are to meet with our academic advisors and schedule next years classes.  I worked out my schedule for the third time now on the classes I will be taking till I graduate just to make sure I don't miss anything..... so that isn't any fun.  Then I slepted from like 4pm to 7pm, I wanted to get up at 5:30 or so to get dinner, when I woke up the cafeteria was closed.....so No food for me, but there will be late night snack so I won't have to starve.  Then me and some of my friends went out to push my friend's car back on campus cause he got into an accident and his car wouldn't run, so that was very tiring after my nap time so it is looking like I will got to bed tonight inspite of the nap. Other than all this excitment my life has been pretty Normal since the wonderful Friday.  Unfortunetly that saturday when I was sopoused to go out and do a High Ropes Course, it got cancelled, and not cancelled before we left, it got concelled due to lighting after we were out there under the course in the rain waiting for the 15min of no lighting to get on the course.  I was SOOOO EXCITED to finally get a chance to do a course that I was majorly bummed about it, hopefully in class on tuesday we will get the chance to reschedule our event and actually got do it this time.  And then one of the best things happened, our floor has lived on Lower Penn in the dorms for two years now, and we have been discussing were to live next year, Heritage is the uppperclassman guys dorm and it isn't that sweet, it especially kill the floor community if you have a bigger group, we have 14 sophmores and about 12 freshman that are apart of our floor.  SO what happened was the two biggest advocates for moving to Heritage were convinced that it wasn't worth it and our floor will be staying on Lower Penn for another year, this excited me greatly so I'm very pumped for it.  Well all in all everything has been going pretty cool, Like the (object) in an (object), so go the days of our (possesion).

FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHT NIGHT!!!!  Well to night was our first fight night on Lower Penn (My dorm floor) and it was pretty fun.  We had some pretty sweet fights, it was all with bosing gloves and no head shots, etc. but man it could really hurt.  I fought two people for 3 rounds each and unfotunetly both my opponents were much smaller than me, so wil challanging i didn't get the whalloping hits, but man i got pummeled to mush, they hit me like five times to my one hit on them.  Will i didn't win the most intense fight of the night award, I did get the most photogenic for my second fight, it is a hilarious picture and when i get it it will be posted on the site, SO be on the look out for it.  Other than the senseless violence I went to IHOP which was very funny and fufilling.  All in all i had an amiazingly wonderful friday night, this is something I haven't enjoyed in a long time, AND the best part was I didn't spend it the whole time with just guys  ohkaay soo heneways heres THE eaarth, dang that tis a sweet eaarth you might say, ROUND! he he he the question is do you know what I'm quoting? and if so ...... I dunno what that means.....

Well it seems like the time between my post is getting progressively longer, this could mean that my next post won't be for a month, well I hope not.  Anyways we had spring break last week and I worked all break.  I started work with American Iron Works, it is a metal frabricaiton shop, we make handrailings and spiral staircases.  I worked with my cousin, and one of the co-owners all week, it was pretty fun, I learned how to weld with a MIG welder, and we did some instalation of some interior rails at this office building.  All in all I believe my summer job will be pretty great. Well that's about all I can think of for the moment, I'll try to post real soon with a new update, till then...........
